Be My RV Valentine: RV Dating For Singles

The Good Life Tips and Tricks

Some people say opposites attract. But what if all of your favorite activities are opposites? That might not work out too well. Especially if you’re an avid RVer and your significant other isn’t. So when you’re looking for love, why not look for someone who loves RVing just as much as you do? Believe it or not, there are websites out there that are built to help single RVers find other single RVers.

After checking out this blog, you just might find yourself asking the question, “Will you be my RValentine?”

JOIN A CLUB

Different dating clubs offer different services. You will find some that have online chat functions or message boards, while others offer full dating services. At the end of the day, many of these sites have the goal of bringing people together by arranging meetup groups for campgrounds.

You can try and filter nonspecific dating sites, like OKCupid, so that you only view other single people who have RVing listed as one of their interests. Or, you can go to websites that are specifically designed to help RVers meet other RVers. Sites like RV dating have been created to solely help single RVers find their soul mates.

Then, there are web communities like Loners on Wheels. Loners on wheels is not a dating site, but a travel network and community for support. They say that love can bloom between their loners, but they are focused on bringing people together and creating a camping community.

BE SAFE

Just like most internet interactions, you don’t truly know who is on the other side of the screen. Use your personal judgement when meeting people online. Take your time getting to know the person you’re interested in. Always be truthful with your own pictures and interests, but know that some people are not truthful over dating sites. Most of all, you always want to protect your identity and anonymity. Don’t provide personal information on these sites. Only use your first name during initial conversations, and don’t provide your address or financial information. When it comes time to meet in person, choose a public area and meet there.

BRING A FOUR LEGGED FRIEND

Sometimes all you need to feel warm fuzzies inside is a warm furry friend to cuddle up with in your RV. If the dating scene isn’t really your thing, don’t forget to bring a four legged friend along on your travel journeys! Cats and dogs are great travel companions when you are RVing alone. Traveling with a pet will keep you active, and since your pawed friend will go wherever you go, you don’t have to worry about accommodating anyone else’s needs. Want to stay at the campground for two extra nights? Fluffy doesn’t mind!

If you do decide to bring a pet along while traveling in your RV, there are some things you need to know. Check out our blogs on traveling with dogs and cats to see what you need to bring to take care of your four legged friends.

When you’re looking for companionship, having someone that is as excited as you are for your next RV adventure is important. With these resources, you should be living the Good Life with that special someone by your side!
