Clinton Riverview Park: Campground Review
Clinton Riverview Recreation RV Park located in Clinton Iowa and provides a nice setting for those visiting the area or just passing through. It is situated nicely on the Mississippi River. The Park provides 23 back in spots and 3 pull through sites. The sites are good size with the back in spots accommodating trailers up to 40 foot. All sites provide 30 amp hookup and water. There are no full hook up sites available at this park, however, there is a convenient dump site located near the entrance to the park. There is a modern restroom/shower house building that is conveniently located for all to use. The basic fee is $20 per day as of the 2017 camping season.

The sites are all level and are well maintained throughout the camping season, with each site being mowed each week. There are several trees located around the RV park, to brighten up the scenery, however, do not provide any shade on a hot summer day. The Park is located just off the downtown area and just across the road from the local Marina which provides access to the mighty Mississippi River.
Activities
The RV park has many local attractions within walking distance from the park. Such as Lumber Kings Minor League baseball, River Access, Dinning along the riverfront dike, swimming at the local pool, hiking/biking and many other attractions and sites along the riverfront. Clinton Iowa also has a casino located about 5 miles from the RV Park.
Insight
The park itself is great for those that find themselves in Clinton Iowa for a weekend. This RV park does have a couple of shortcomings. There is a set of railroad tracks located on the east side of the park with moderate train traffic. Some people do complain about the train noise, however, I found that after a day or so they just become a background noise. Wi-Fi access is spotty at best and is provided by the marina for a small fee. The restrooms, are also a point of many complaints, due to the public access to them. They are cleaned daily and the park staff does their best to maintain them but from time to time get littered/vandalized with trash from those also using the riverfront area. I know the community is trying to fix this issue. There is no camp host at this campground however if you spend some time at this park you will be able to meet a couple of the Full-timers that will be happy to answer any questions you may have and the park is ran by the local Marina group which is located just across the street from the park.
